Rules for PA divers and boaters

For Divers in Pennsylvania

14″ x 14″ diver down flag “displayed in the water on a buoy, whether a boat is present or not.” A boat shall display the alpha flag, 1 meter square, while it is restricted in its ability to maneuver due to diving operations. Restricted in its ability to maneuver means that divers are attached to a boat by some physical means. Federal regulations may apply to Great Lakes and/or international waters.

For Boaters in Pennsylvania

Boats not engaged in the diving operations shall remain at least 100′ form displayed flag(s).
