For Divers in Illinois
12” x 15” Diver Down Flag (Alpha Flag is alternative). Display flag at a height above the water so as to be clearly apparent at a distance of 100 yards. Divers shall not rise to the surface outside of a radius of 50’ from such flag. Federal regulations may apply to Great Lakes and/or international waters.
For Boaters in Illinois
No watercraft shall be operated within 150’ of a diving flag except for watercraft directly associated with that diving activity.
